Frequently Asked Questions

How does the courses work/how is it run?

The course contains 12 modules that are each one week long. Each morning you receive an email with a morning challenge to complete some time that day (generally about a 40 minutes time commitment), and a focus for the day – an idea to ponder. Each evening you will receive another email that explores that daily focus a little further. You will then be directed to your private ‘My Journey’ diary and will work through some ideas and feelings related to the day’s focus. Along the way there will be the odd instructional video on some movements and fitness routines that pop up through the course, as well as a Friday Ritual Recipe and accompanying video from Pete Evans.
Boot Camp for the Soul is totally online, and made for you to enjoy in your own home, in your own space.

What’s the time commitment like?

Plan to spend at least 45 minutes each morning and 30 minutes each evening, Monday to Saturday. Fridays are generally to be set aside as a ‘family dinner night’.

What makes Boot Camp for the Soul different to any other online course?

It is definitely not like any other Boot Camp out there. The goal of this program is not to lose weight – sure it may happen, but as the name suggests, it is a ‘Boot Camp for the Soul’ that offers you the opportunity to transform you soul, mind and body. It is the first interactive online program that you can do in the comfort of your own home that will guide you toward a soul, mind and body transformation in the 12 weeks. Each week sees a new focus on a different area of development, and new challenges for you to conquer. We believe that the answers to living your best life are already inside you. This program is not going to give you the answers, but will show you what is already inside of you, even if you don’t yet know its there.

How much interaction is there between Trevor, myself and other participants?

Participants may choose to provide mutual support and encouragement by using the Private Facebook Group you are invited to upon signup. You will be able to ask questions, receive assistance and help others from fellow Boot Campers in this group. This group is locked to anyone who is not participating, so you have access to those who are experiencing the same program as you. If you have additional questions or are having a problem with the program, you can email [email protected] and one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible, and we normally aim to respond to queries from Boot campers within 24 hours. If you feel you need one-on-one access to Trevor, you can request a 1 hour phone or skype session with Trev for an additional fee.

Will I be able to revisit the content?

Yes. You will be able to ‘favourite’ a specific email day’s theme and refer back to it at any time. It will also track your history through each day.

The course has already started! Am I too late?

Not at all. We kick things off afresh each and every Monday (with an introductory email being sent on the preceding Sunday night), so depending on what day of the week you sign up, you will start the program the very next Sunday evening, or at worst, in 7 days time.

What software do I need to use?

The emails and content are designed to be totally user-friendly. If you can receive emails, you can do Boot Camp for the Soul. Links to videos, pages on the website, and your diary/feedback sections all come via these emails, which can be read on your iPhone, iPad, Andriod device, Mac, Pc etc etc

Who runs the course?

Trevor Hendy has designed this course from his own life experiences and teachings. He has assembled a technical and design team to help him deliver it.

I have already done the course once. Can I do it again?

Absolutely. We recognise that no matter how hard you try to keep a particular focus and outlook through your day to day life, sometimes life just gets in the way, and clouds back over.

What is required from participants?

The main qualities are openness and diligence. The course is not easy; but it will be a fruitful experience if there is a determined effort to apply the techniques and practices as outlined. No one is expected to accept anything simply because it features in the course; but there should be a willingness to give any new method or approach a fair trial before deciding on its merits.

I will be away for several weeks, can I catch up?

Not a good idea. The effectiveness of the course is in the receiving and then ‘actioning’ of daily emails. While you will still be able to log into the website and see your history of emails, you will lose that daily contact. We suggest putting off your sign-up until you are able to give it 12 weeks of love and attention.

What form does the course take?

The course is delivered online using emails sent out each morning and night. This is a dedicated interactive learning environment that can be accessed through a standard web browser. It contains instructional texts, images, videos and other resources.

Will I be spending long periods online?

Participants need to connect daily to receive their email and view videos and other content when available through the duration of the course. The aim, though, is to efficiently deliver the material and support so that most of your available time can be spent in relfection and in your day to day life rather than online.

What languages are available?

The course is currently available only in English.

Who is this course available to?

While this course can be accessed by anyone, anywhere in the world, the timing of emails being sent is based on Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC +10). This simply means that while the content itself is applicable to everyone around the world, the delivery of that content may not work into your schedule 100%. We are working to make the course run smoothly for all users, worldwide, but for now it’s just one timezone that we are operating in, sorry.

Will I be able to go back and edit my daily diary work?

At this stage, we have designed the course so that you can’t go back and change something once it is complete. Bootcamp for the Soul isn’t so much about getting things ‘right’, but getting things out, while you’re in the moment. It will all come out in the wash and as nobody else looks at your work/responses, and that gives you an opportunity to look back and see how you have changed your outlook as you have gone on.
